The fun logistics of Christmas and our best wishes for the new year
Have you ever considered the logistics of Christmas? Think about it. One giant elf uses eight reindeer to travel around the world in one night to deliver to millions of children. According to recent estimates, Santa must deliver gifts to 22 million kids an hour, every hour, on the night before Christmas. That’s about 365,000 kids a minute; about 6,100 a second. Totally doable, right? Of course, it is, because … Santa.
Many of us at On Time Logistics celebrate Christmas as recognition of the birth of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ birth and the years following that were also an amazing set of logistics that we believe only God could have put into place. From Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem, to the Wise Men finding Jesus by simply following a star in the night sky, to Joseph fleeing to Egypt to keep Baby Jesus safe. Those events are a miraculous example of people and things getting to the right place at the right time.
No matter if you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or any other holiday in the coming days and weeks, our hope and prayer is that you will have safe travels, and experience peace. Our best wishes for you and yours this holiday season and into the New Year!
