Meet: Anne Williams
When we first starting blogging at On Time Logistics, we knew we wanted to feature our team members. One of our very first team member spotlights was Anne Williams, who has been a faithful employee for more than a decade.
A long time has passed since that feature and many things have changed like Anne moving to another state and working for us remotely, and other things have not changed such as she is a valuable employee who we could not do without.
We decided to check in with Anne again to share about her again here.
Anne started with us in November of 2010 and she’s done several roles in the nearly 10 years she’s been with us. She now serves as Performance Director.
“As the Performance Director my roles and duties are process management, training, reporting, IT admin, invoicing and settlements. I also play a key role in courier dispatch leadership,” she said.
As we mentioned, Anne is able to work from her home, which is now in Bellingham, Washington.
Before working at OTL, Anne worked a lot in Outdoor Education.
“Previous to working at On Time Logistics I worked in the field of Adventure Education, as a raft guide, ski/snowboard instructor and wilderness educator for at risk youth. I also grew up working as a deckhand on my father’s lobster fishing vessel in Connecticut,” she said.
Anne gets to enjoy outdoor adventures in her new home of Washington. In her personal time, she enjoys lots of nature activities.
“I enjoy whitewater kayaking/rafting, skiing/snowboarding, sailing, extended wilderness trips, making espresso drinks for friends, playing with my dog and movie nights with my husband,” she said.
Anne says she enjoys the many opportunities she’s found at OTL.
“The business provides constant opportunities to both take some time and execute a well thought out plan, while also forcing me to think on my feet as challenges arise at a moment’s notice. I really enjoy both of those aspects,” she said. “On Time Logistics has grown a lot since I first started, and I am very proud to be a part of it. I hope that I can help the company to grow even more over the next ten years.”
We look forward to Anne being with us, too!
