In today’s team member spotlight, we want to feature a long-time Northwest Arkansas resident who has done and seen so many fascinating things! We are pleased that Bob McKee joined our team in January 2019 and serves as one of our delivery route drivers.
“I have lived in Northwest Arkansas all of my life, having grown up and finished school in Bentonville,” Bob said. “Sam Walton personally offered me a job at his new company, and I turned him down. Instead, I spent 31 years teaching high school in Springdale and Fayetteville. I retired seven years ago.
“I also ran a horse farm for 30 years. I have traveled a lot and had many interesting life experiences!”
At OTL, Bob drives a truck route into Oklahoma to deliver Amazon packages to five different post offices.
“I like driving a truck and getting paid or it,” he said of what he enjoys about his new role. “The employees are nice and I enjoy getting to work with them.”
One obvious difference between what he does now and his former career includes not having to manage a classroom and interacting with all adults instead of teenagers!
Bob told us a bit more about his family and personal interests.
“I was divorced eight years ago after a fairly long marriage and have two children in their 30s. I read a lot, listen to a lot of music, ride horses as well as a Triumph motorcycle, mess with antique cars, do all kinds of bicycling, enjoy outdoor activities, and socialize some,” he said. “I just got back from a three-week safari in Africa, driving around in the ‘bush’ in Botswana with my son in his Toyota Landcruiser. My main goal was to not get eaten by lions and I think you can achieve that goal!
We are definitely glad Bob didn’t get eaten by lions, aren’t you? We appreciate his sense of humor.

OTL started in 2007 as a primarily courier company but over time, we’ve grown to include many more delivery and courier services with the largest demand being last mile delivery.
Are you interested in a part-time or full-time job? We are always hiring new drivers and independent contract couriers to help serve our customers. We are hiring in both Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas.
We have some basic requirements for all contract couriers and delivery drivers. Those requirements include:
- 21 years of age
- Valid DL
- Clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Reliable vehicle (Contract couriers only, drivers use our trucks)
- Professional appearance (Business casual)
- Smartphone on a major carrier (ie. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc.)
- Appropriate delivery-use insurance ($300,000 liability minimum)
- Approved Drug Test required prior to contract or employment offer.
