We at On Time Logistics are delighted to introduce a new member of our administrative team. Tim Ray joined us in mid-July as the new Director of Operations. Anyone who meets Tim can tell immediately that he’s a hard worker and has a fun personality.
Tim is in the process of learning all the regular routes and jokes that he’s most looking forward to driving a forklift. In all seriousness, Tim has jumped right in as a member of the OTL team and is working to help grow the company (more about that soon!)
He comes to us from the freight forwarding side of the logistics industry including working for Airways Freight Corporation in Fayetteville for 15 years. In those years, he worked in a variety of departments. His job at On Time Logistics will require him to wear a wider variety of hats at once, Tim agreed, adding that customer service is still the final and most immediate focus.
Tim grew up in Fayetteville and Tim grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from both Fayetteville High School and the University of Arkansas. He has a BA in Political Science. He has family locally and also in Georgia and North Carolina.
Like our owner, Steve, Tim loves cycling. He tries to get in about 125 mile every week, whether it’s training or racing. He’s a member of the Fayetteville Wheelman Cycling Team and leads a beginner bike ride on Thursday nights.
We asked Tim if there was anything else interesting or unusual that he wanted to share. We decided to let him share in his own words!
“I’ve ridden my bike in the French Pyrenees and watched part of the Tour De France, ridden the highest paved road in the US, worked in a plastics factory when I was a kid, and made over 250,000 margaritas in my life.”
