OTL bringing jobs to Little Rock

OTL bringing jobs to Little Rock

This is the press release we issued yesterday to Little Rock media.

LITTLE ROCK—More than a dozen jobs are coming to the Little Rock area as the Springdale-based logistics and warehousing provider On Time Logistics is opening an office this September.

“We’re hiring 8-10 drivers and couriers right away,” said Tim Ward, director of sales and marketing for On Time Logistics. “But that’s just the start. We expect to grow with our customers in the coming months and plan to increase our total number of drivers and staff to 20 or 25 positions.”

On Time Logistics has provided services through an agent in the Little Rock area, as well as Tulsa, Okla., since 2015. The general growth in e-commerce, as well as the increased needs in Little Rock for quality last mile carriers, is driving the expansion, he said. E-commerce growth has been the major driving factor in On Time Logistics’ growth since 2016 as they are the last-mile delivery provider for a growing number of retailers, including Amazon.com and Wayfair.com.

While last mile delivery is the foundation of the company’s expansion to Little Rock, Ward said that it’s “just the tip of the iceberg.” Courier services including medical couriers and document couriers are hallmark offerings at the Springdale location and are expected to be added quickly to the Little Rock location.

The new office will be in the Little Rock Corporate Center (7123 Interstate 30). The two-year lease is for suites 47 and 48, which totals 10,400 square feet, with the first rights of refusal for the 5,200 square-foot Suite 49.

On Time Logistics was founded in 2007 by Steve Jones and it offers services including medical courier services, white glove and last-mile delivery services, warehousing, and other on-demand courier and messenger services. OTL is based in Springdale, Ark. its primary service areas are Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The growth plan is to eventually have office locations represented in each of those four states, Ward said.
