Dave Pointer has been a valued member of the On Time Logistics team for five years and was declared our Star Driver in July. We featured him on our blog in 2017 but wanted to catch up with him and find out what he’s been up to lately.
Dave is one of our regular dedicated route drivers based in our Northwest Arkansas location. We are grateful to have reliable and trustworthy people like Dave as the final mile delivery aspect of our business continues to grow.
Besides having previous experience as a school bus driver and driving mixer trucks, Dave is also a former U.S. Marine. He was born in Colorado but raised in southwest Missouri and south Texas. Dave credits Rush Limbaugh for helping him understand his upbringing, his love of country, and most of all, the oath he took to protect and defend the Constitution. His love of country is evident through his convictions and desire to always look for an answer.
Away from OTL, Dave and his wife enjoy time together in the kitchen. Often during the holidays, they lend their talents to making and selling delicious cheesecakes for many of his colleagues to complement their own holiday dinners. They also share a passion for travel and look forward to taking another cruise to Alaska. Due to the travel woes with Covid, they have been grounded but Dave finds time at home to work on other hobbies. One that he sees himself doing in 10 years is genealogy work.
