This week is when we Americans celebrate Thanksgiving and we at On Time Logistics want to take a moment to say “thank you” to all our customers and friends. We hope that you have a safe and blessed holiday.
Many families share the tradition of each person around the table telling one (or more!) thing they are thankful for this year. Although we don’t expect it to come up at the dinner table, one thing we are thankful for is the declining gas prices.
AAA estimates that consumers are saving nearly $265 million on gasoline every day compared to a year ago. This has helped boost disposable income, which is how many Americans are able to afford travel this Thanksgiving. Nearly 47 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles from home for Thanksgiving. This is the most since 2007! Nearly 42 million of those travelers will be driving on our highways.
