Have you noticed getting less web traffic for your small business in the last few weeks? If you’re checking your traffic using Google Analytics (and you should be), you might notice a drop off in traffic.

There’s a good chance that the sudden drop off is because your website is not mobile friendly. Google announced in February of this year that starting April 21, it would demote websites that are not mobile friendly and boost those that are mobile friendly in its search rankings.

“As people increasingly search on their mobile devices, we want to make sure they can find content that’s not only relevant and timely, but also easy to read and interact with on smaller mobile screens,” a Google spokesperson was recently quoted as saying.

We at On Time Logistics are making sure our website is not-only mobile friendly, but easy to use for all viewers. That’s why we wanted to make sure our customers and small business colleagues were aware of this Google search change.

Not sure if your website is mobile friendly? For one, you can look it up on multiple mobile devices (including both Android and iPhone). You can also use the Google web tool to test your business’ website’s mobile readiness. All you have to do is type in your URL and it will gauge how prepared your website is for mobile users.
